one successful venture

Well, I managed one unequivocally good thing at work yesterday - I pulled off an awesome team-building event/holiday party.

I put together a scavenger hunt that sent everyone scurrying all over the museum for trivia, which everyone had a really great time. I made paper snowflakes and decorated the glass wall while they were gone. I brought a spice cake. I arranged "Jingle Bells", formed a clandestine mini a capella group with some coworkers, scheduled rehearsals, and we performed to great acclaim. Everyone was impressed and had a really good time.

Go me!

Doesn't make the dozens of things that I've apparently done wrong in the last week go away, but it's something.

Hooray! A holiday party in a museum sounds incredibly fun. My department had a holiday party yesterday: it was tropical-themed, and we had a dough(?)-sculpting contest in which I tied for first place with a figure of "Newton in Paradise." I won a plastic wind-up sushi.
