Last night, I dreamt a long and detailed dream about how Chuckro and I bought a cow. We kept her in the garage - we don't have cars, so naturally this was a good place to keep her. (Nevermind that we also don't have a garage.) Chuckro was very excited because now he could make bread not only out of exotic flours, but also using milk he milked himself. There were some cleanliness issues, however. We weren't very good at milking. Also, we'd forgotten that we would have to muck out the garage.
We also were arguing over the name of the cow, which was very pedestrian, yet I no longer remember.
We've been having some fun with food lately. Last night we had goat. One of Chuckro's coworkers has loaner goats - that is, he has a large piece of property other people pay him to keep their goats on. At the end of the fall, he gets some goat meat as well. He didn't want it all, so we have some now. It's kind of like extra-chewy lamb.
I've also been playing with my Mexican cookbook lately. Stuffed poblano peppers with pork and fruit. Very tasty, except the place where I didn't remove enough of the rib and unexpected searing firefirefirePAIN! Oops.
