Random Monday morning notes

- One of my coworkers is apparently locked inside her apartment this morning. The doorknob is completely broken. The super has been trying to get her out for the last half hour or so.

- I just found out that the staging place for the balloons for the Thanksgiving Day parade is the street my office looks out onto. They don't start until around 4, which is when I was planning to leave, but perhaps I'll stick around for a few minutes and watch them start to inflate the balloons.

- We're having our Christmas tree lighting at work today. I am told there are usually vast quantities of donuts involved. I am deeply excited by this.

Oh, boy. Do you think we should tell your Dad and let him come over and take a peek? We might meet you as you leave the office, take a look around and then head back with you.

...actually, that's not a terrible idea at all. I mean, if you don't mind about two hours of commuting for a ten-minute thrill. Whether it's worth it is up to you, but I would have no objections. (Hell, it'll make sure I actually leave when I said I was going to leave.)

Well, the balloons aren't until Wednesday, and the donuts are today. But it will be an odd week, yes.

I'm so glad I'm not coming to work on Friday - it's going to be a friggin' zoo.
