So we finished season one of Heroes two nights ago. And it was, indeed, excellent.

Do we bother with season two?

It's a resounding...maybe?

I dunno. I think it might benefit from DVD, where you can watch it all at once and maybe skip the boring parts. But so far, it's been less promising and slower-burning still than the first season's slow start, explosive finish. The last new episode was decent, but not a whole lot has been extraordinary.

I'd say wait until the season's over to decide. We loved season 1 and started season 2, and kind of ground to a halt--it's just kind of gotten boring and stupid and we're finding ourselves unable to care about the characters anymore. But it might get better, who knows.

Oh god, isn't "Company Man" such a heartbreaking episode? My fav.

I say go ahead with Season 2. I'm two episodes in, and it's strange, but I have faith in it. Also, Tim Kring was interviewed in EW saying he knew there were problems and will fix them. I respect that.

Of course, there is the question of whether the writer's strike will end in time for him to fix this season...

My father says that last week's episode is actually a good jumping-on point to this season--the seven before that are summed up and aren't really that necessary.
