I had leftover pumpkin and evaporated milk from a pumpkin cake with chocolate frosting that I made a little bit back. They needed eating. Also, the refrigerator was getting crowded.

Spontaneous pumpkin pie! I'm not actually sure how much of each I had. I put them in a bowl together with some spices and brown sugar and an egg. I squished some graham crackers into the bottom of a mini-spring-form pan that I have, with some butter and a little salt. Poured in the pumpkin, threw it in the oven. 10 minute prep pie. Turns out, proportions don't really matter very much for pumpkin pie. It was a perfect two-serving dessert, with no actual measuring or forethought. I am the queen of pie!

I'm just getting such a kick out of how I've gotten to the point that I can throw things in a pie shell, basically without a real recipe, and have it still come out delicious.

What does it mean if "impulsive pie" immediately made me imagine a rocket shaped pie accelerating through space?

Mmm... Pie...

You've watched too much Star Trek?

Ah well.

But rockets are fun. As is pie. Rocket-pie therefore should be awesome, no?
