So I said that my kids wouldn't want to read my thesis, and that it something boring that Mom said was cool. I didn't mean it was unreadable (thanks to everyone who's now demanding to read it, by the way). Just that it's the kind of thing parents insist their children would like and children find deathly boring. And for the record, the "Mom" in that statement referred to me as the mother of my hypothetical children who hypothetically don't want to read my thesis 15 years after I wrote it. I did not mean to imply that my own mother was pushy and too over proud of me. Sorry, Mom! :)

Attempt at self-deprecation falls flat. I really shouldn't write things when I'm tired...

and i also understood perfectly and am still interested in reading your thesis. doesn't mean i'll actually read it. i'd certainly look at the pictures if you showed it to me. there will be pictures, right?
