Spent a chunk of last night manning the sign-in table for the swanky party for the opening of our new exhibit last night. Unfortunately, my mental commands to the waiters to bring us some of the hors d'oeuvres and fancy drinks they were passing around went unheeded. It's really kind of depressing to watch people wander by with flutes of pretty colored drinks and not be able to have any.
