So I didn't actually have to do my own taxes this year, since my father-in-law is an accountant and Chuckro and I filed jointly.

The universe has decided to balance my lack of tax paperwork-induced headaches. By making me have to fill out the paperwork for the museum. In Japan.

(Basically, I'm just trying to tell them we're a nonprofit and therefore they don't need to tax us when we send shows there. But the paperwork has all the joy of illogic of any legal document, plus all the joy of illogic of any tax-related document, plus all the joy of illogic of anything translated from Japanese. Yeesh.)

That sounds like a whole lot of amusement potential ... as long as you're not the one who has to actually deal with it. If there are any particular literary highlights, do post them :)

Actually, none of it is particular funny. It's just all very convoluted. Several statements mean the exact opposite of what I thought they meant on first glance - the negatives aren't quite placed where you would expect them to be.
