Another one

Had another wedding nightmare last night. It was the morning of the wedding, and all the flowers got delivered. And they were all wrong. They were pastels, spring flowers. Daffodils and lots of pink. They're supposed to be fall flowers - dark red roses and orange and yellow and purple. At first I was calm - ok, they're not what I wanted, but they're flowers and it'll be fine. But then I started looking at them more closely. The corsages were really wimpy and pathetic, and a bunch of the daffodils in the boutennieres (sp?) were broken. And I started getting really upset - I'd actually put a lot of thought into this, and sat down with the florist for half an hour and gone over it all, and it was all wrong. I suddenly realized that my bouquet hadn't been delivered and started panicking. I shoved all the favor-making materials into Chuck's hands (they hadn't been put together yet) and frantically ran upstairs to find my mom to try to drive over to the flower shop before the wedding started. Then I woke up.

What good would finding you mom (of the daffodil theme) possibly do? She clearly was the one that screwed up the whole thing in the first place! Sabotage, I say! She's got it in for you!

No, for some reason it wasn't your fault. Mary had done the entire set. I was really pissed at her, too.

See, now I'm convinced we need to do more to distract you from wedding hoopla. Let me know about this weekend. Also, if you'd be available/interested, in two weekends' time, there's a free tour of a bunch of historical houses in Manhattan (free as in admission and transport) that I might be doing with Lisa. Come along if you and chuckro would like the breather.

Saturday the 14th, we're doing final checks with the caterer and the priest. I don't think we're doing anything on Sunday, though.

Let me check which day we're going and get back to you, then. Yay for historicizing!
