I recently had to review a particularly long-winded patent application. (Even our in-house patent attorney thought it was bad.) By the time I had waded through a couple dozen pages, when the document started referring to "element selection", I swear I read "elephant selection" the first couple of times. It's been my status message in work-IM ever since.
