...which would actually be my engagement ring on a chain.

Why am I wearing my engagement ring around my neck instead of on my ring finger where it belongs, you ask?

Because apparently this weekend, I got not one but two bug bites on my left ring finger - one on either side of the ring.

Since they were swelling and itchy this morning, I thought it would be better to just take the ring off and let them heal for a few days.

Why, bugs, why? Why that finger, of all fingers? Why not even the other ring finger? (I don't mind just taking my Princeton ring off and leaving it on my dresser for a few days.) Grr. Stupid bugs.

Grrrr bugs. I hate them. Hate hate hate. I currently have 8 bug bites on my right leg alone. Grrrrr.

Here's a little product advertising... my dad introduced me to CalaGel, which is one of the best anti-itch remedies around. It works as well as Calamine lotion, but it's a clear gel, so you don't have to walk around with pink blotches all over your skin. CVS carries it. Just an FYI.

With your ring on a chain around your neck, you can pretend it's '50s Day or something. It's like Chuck has asked you to go steady. =)
