More reasons I love New York

This morning, there were two guys with a pickup truck handing out free samples of some new energy drink. I didn't get any - I'm not a big fan of the energy drink genre - but it amused me.

There were three guys (guitar, bass, and drums) jamming in a park on 47th St at lunch. Again, amused.

Less amusing - my sandals, which are very comfy for ambling around, cut my toes at a brisk walk. I'm all band-aid-y now.

One word: Moleskin.

Not to be confused with Moleskine. Google can't seem to get a handle on the difference.

Oh, and to clarify -- the stuff seems to be intended to be stuck on feet, but I find it to be durable and smooth padding for sticking to the inside surface of shoes/straps. I've fixed multiple pairs of shoes this way.
