- I think I'm hitting the six month wall people have talked about, combined with job issues and election angst. I've been on the edge of a panic attack for most of a week now.

- ARR's homework is kicking my butt. I did not need another thing to juggle getting done. (Claims that he didn't have any were not disproved until Thursday, which puts us very much behind on the week.)

- The weather shift pushed the rodents inside again. We've caught nine in the last week and a half. And the squirrels are back in the ceilings. (Exterminator put down a bunch of fresh traps and wanted to renew the poison, but the one that died behind the kitchen cabinets and can't be dislodged and made our kitchen smell like death for days made that somewhat less appealing. They're also pretty sure the squirrels are getting in somewhere down the block and just running the squirrel super highway that is the space between roof and ceiling.) I have personally picked up two live mice by the tails in the last four days, and that's two entirely too many. (Both were dying but trying to scrabble into a hole from which we would not be able to retrieve their bodies, there wasn't a lot of choice.)

- I have planted a lot of daffodils today. A small gesture of hope for nice things in the future.

I'm hitting that same wall, I think. The shift from a short-term hunker-down mentality to a long-term maybe-new-normal has been a struggle, and the lack of agency and fear of potential political oppression / futility doesn't help. All of the uncertainty feels horrible.

I know I can't really do anything to fix the problem, but I definitely hear you. And thanks for sharing -- I find it comforting to know that others are feeling the same way I do these days.
