Cheeeeeese....

We went to an amazing cheese and honey pairing course at Murray's Cheese Shop tonight. I do not, as a rule, like bleu cheese or Brie, but in the context, I quite enjoyed them. It was fascinating--six cheeses paired with six varietal honeys, plus sparkling and also red wine, with a cheese expert and a honey expert guiding us through. Really, really cool.

The only problem is that now (between too much cake at my goodbye party and then too much cheese but no real dinner), I feel slightly ill. My own fault, really. So much cheese.

In other news...it's really quite strange not to be going back to the museum on Monday.

Sounds like a really cool tasting. I've been getting some really interesting honeys lately, since one of our groceries carries Airborne (from New Zealand), but hadn't thought of matching them with cheese.

Honey and cheese are awesome together. I'd been eating them together for awhile, but it had never occurred to me to try specific pairings before.

But I'd wanted to do a honey tasting for some time. There are so many kinds, but it takes so long to get through a jar that I haven't wanted to buy six jars and taste them all side by side. I'd be stuck with them for years.
