ARR has scarlet fever.

Fortunately, it turns out that all that is is strep throat with a nasty rash. Dangerous if untreated, but just very unpleasant with antibiotics.

But for the moment, the poor kid is miserable.

And I keep seeing Monkey and thinking of the Velveteen Rabbit...

Glad you caught it early! Hurray for modern antibiotics!
(My mom says I had scarlet fever as a toddler, and it's why I have certain physical problems. >< Good that ARR will avoid this.)
