I had so many nightmares last night.

I was a teenager trying to leave an abusive family, and we had an unsettling conversation over an enormous cut crystal lazy Susan that I was accused of breaking.

I was accused of stealing a silver coffeepot from a claustrophobic store by a policeman who was possessed by a demon and whose head was slowly turning into a squid.

I was applying to an arts school and when I went to visit, none of the students liked me and I was about to be forced into a sing-off/dance battle.

I had to organize an offsite strategy meeting in the form of a camping trip for my current company, and the CEO demanded duck fried rice and I was frantically trying to figure out how to get that delivered to the middle of the woods.

Everyone got Ebola and we were all in the process of dying.

So after all these nightmares, I woke up and capped off the morning by losing my keys somewhere between home and the PATH station. Awesome.

See, your nightmares are creative at least. I would trade you any number of my "being chased by nameless horror" or "bugs coming out of my body" nightmares for these.

Hmmm, I'm sensing a theme in most of these of failing other people's expectations. I'm going to bet this is tied to job stress...

I had a nightmare right before leaving Boston that people were just showing up in my apartment and I didn't know how they got in. This doesn't sound horrific, I know, but it did make me get up and check the lock on the door.
