Welp, that happened

Big presentation at noon today, was up for the better part of the night with the rest of the management team prepping. Slept poorly, harassed by a mosquito in the morning. Needed to get straight to work to finish presentation.

I had ARR in his stroller and all our stuff on the porch and closed the door...and realized that my wallet and keys were still inside.

Fortunately, I had my phone, and I was able to swing by Chuckro's office and bum a Metrocard and $20. But no ID, no credit cards, no health insurance card, no PATH card, no additional cash...I felt naked. Refused to leave the building all day, rushed right home at the end. Very disconcerting.

Oh, man. I have vivid memories of my mom locking us out of the house. On one occasion, she had my five-year-old brother crawl through the window to unlock the door. Good thing he's a responsible kid, cause what's worse than being locked out of your house? Being locked out of it with your five-year-old in it.

I, too, have forgotten my wallet and gone into the city. Only discovered when I needed to buy lunch and couldn't. Thank goodness for kind coworkers.
