Snow day

My mother-in-law came out last night and stayed over. So very glad she did. ARR had a fever, which has subsequently gone down, but no one should be surprised that daycare is closed. I'm working from home at the moment--the original idea was to take him to the doctor, but with the fever down, I'm not sure I really want to take him out in the storm. We're monitoring.

(Ear infection again, I'm pretty sure--he'd had one over the weekend without a fever, they didn't want to use yet another round of antibiotics that wasn't being particularly effective. He's getting surgery in a week, and we're just trying to make it until then. But we'll see what happens.)

Poor kiddo. The ear tubes can't come fast enough. But thank goodness for grandparents.

Is he getting new ear tubes, with a better anti-bacterial coating?

Tubes put through his eardrums, to make it less hospitable for bacteria, less susceptible to bulging, and easier to apply antibiotics.
