Ugh. Oww.

Oh, back. It wasn't enough that you got hurt somehow while playing laser tag. It wasn't enough that you then spent the last two days cramping into a column of pain. But now I think the tension that's worked its way up to my neck is giving me a headache.

Stupid back.

(And yes, Chuckro has rubbed it. Multiple times. And it feels better for half an hour and then goes back to being cranky.)

Gentle stretching exercises - you know them, and take Advil every four hours until it's better. My theory, based on experience, is that your reaction to the pain exacerbates the problem. If you feel less pain, you'll allow yourself to relax and respond to stretching.

We hit it with the quadruple-whammy of multiple backrubs, stretching, advil and hot shower on Monday night, and if what I've been told is true, she's in much better shape now.

Much better indeed. Yesterday I could stand up from my chair without making humorous noises, and today I can put dishes in the dishwasher without much of a twinge.

Sheesh. I still don't know what I did to make it so unhappy with me.

did you try a heating pad? Heating pads work wonders for me.
