Dammit, New York!

They moved the fireworks barges closer to Jersey--they must have set the fireworks off practically on top of Hoboken.

Which means you couldn't see them from Jersey City at all. Poo.

Were you down in Liberty State Park? We were bellyaching about not being able to see the fireworks well from the upper west side and talking about going to the park next year, but if they've moved the barges it may not be worth it.

No, you haven't been able to see from there in years. We were at the end of the Hyatt pier.

Huh. We were in Liberty State Park last year and while the angle wasn't great, it was still at least visible and audible.
