Getting old

I've developed some kind of arrhythmia, which means I'm on week two of four weeks of wearing a heart monitor. It's already getting old. This thing was apparently designed in 1997, as it can only record three events before it has to be uploaded, via landline, by modem. Seriously. When it goes off, I get 30 seconds of high pitched warbling and when I upload it, it's a five minute flashback to the days of AOL.

In other news, this weather is confusing. Although if it stays this warm, maybe I'll wear the Fang costume to I-Con after all. My panels, by the way? Totally random. I think they may have actually put me on one of the kid track panels and I have no idea why. I'm kind of upset about this.

You aren't old, my sweet. You're doing just fine. Besides which, your heart monitor did totally look like a cowboy hat on an invisible necklace chain when I saw it. I was trying to work out where you got it on Etsy before I found out what it was. So even with the annoyances of the modem noises, it looks kinda modern chic!

Yeah, it sounds like that monitor totally needs to be redesigned. What will your doctor do with the data?

Also, I am sorry that you have to deal with the diagnosis and the warbly annoyances that go along with it. I see from the internets that the condition is often harmless and has various treatments.
