I'm totally on a roll writing the climax of this novel, but it's bedtime. And the most logical ending point is I think at least 3000 words away, which is awhile. So I need to stop and go to bed. Which is annoying, because I think I could easily keep writing steadily for at least another hour, but then tomorrow would suck.

I hope that, if you skipped bedtime, you don't feel as zombie-ish as this bedtime skipper. Brains. Need some. Now.

No, I was sensible and went to bed.

Being a grown-up is not as awesome as we thought it would be when we were kids.

Mail and careers and not having a 16 year old body all kinda suck. But getting to plan my own vacations and pick my own food and carry Advil in my purse are all pretty nice. And I rather like being married. So I guess it kinda balances out, in ways I didn't expect.

Oh, in that sense, yeah.

But the "nobody's gonna tell me I have to go to bed" is patently false. You just get to be your own enforcer.

True. But you get to weigh for yourself whether it's worth it or not. Sometimes I'm willing to write the IOU to my body.
