I think I've read them all. What saves me, of course, is that I don't remember most of them. I do remember HATING "Naked Lunch" almost as much as I hated Joyce's "Ulysses." Still LOVE "The Sound and the Fury"-- one book that really holds up well-- as does that splendiferous doorstop "An American Tragedy." I may be the last person around who admits to liking Dreiser and I still think he desered the Nobel more than Lewis (But I love Lewis, esp. Main Street.") Achebe is great and someone I know loves "Catch-22." Cather and "Winesberg" tear your heart out (All those little paper pills of Dr. Reefy.)
