Taking conflict avoidance too far

One of my characters is dreading having a certain conversation. So much so that I am dreading it on her behalf, and procrastinating mightily to avoid dragging her through it, both in avoiding writing and writing in procrastination.

I think perhaps I need to take a little step back.
