Sick day

I'm taking the sick day I probably should have taken Monday, only couldn't because of the film shoot that got cancelled.

(14 hour day yesterday. While sick. Went well, had to happen, but god I'm glad that's over. I stopped in Subway to get a cookie because I wanted one, dammit. Everyone on the PATH train had the same idea, only for sandwiches--as I pointed out to the guy next to me, it's the only place open between that exit and home at 11 o'clock at night. My fellow customers were rather shocked that I was willing to patiently wait in that long a line for just a cookie, but I'd been longing for a cookie for four hours and felt I'd earned it. I was really happy with my cookie, too. I ate it really slowly as I walked the rest of the way home, and it distracted me from noticing that my feet were on fire from standing for six hours straight.)

I promise not to go anywhere near food preparation for gaming tonight, and use a lot of hand sanitizer.

AUGH. I'm surprised you're still alive, and not actually dead-and-then-risen-due-to-overwork-while-sick.

It's a particularly ill-timed cold. Just got woken up by a frantic coworker - the report we thought was due at the end of the day, that I was going to do this afternoon, just got bumped up to 2pm. (Coworker wasn't demanding I do it myself, but needed a briefing on what to do. I'm doing it because I'm a little worried about someone trying to do this report from phone instructions. Coworker is very nice, was very apologetic, and is behaving completely appropriately. I'm quite fond of her, just annoyed at the bad timing.)
