Crafties!

So Chuckro has class on Halloween. (Which is why our party is on Saturday.) Even when he gets home, he's going to be completely wiped, and not much interested in festivities. Now, Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, and it seemed just wrong to spend the day like any other.

Which is why I volunteered to run a craft table at the museum's children's Halloween event. I'm actually a little surprised how excited I am by this. Back when I was a kid, my mom always ran the craft table at church events, and then as I got older, so did I. It's been a long time since I've run a craft table. I'm looking forward to it. Also, it's an excuse to see lots of kids in costumes, which I always get a huge kick out of.

This is a severe problem with apartment/city life--no trick or treating.

This is a fixable problem: send a flyer around your apartment suggesting to decorate the front entry for Halloween, and coordinate buying some candy and manning the door. You could even make the suggestion to other apartment buildings on the block.
