Starting and stopping
Oct. 2nd, 2020 10:16 pmWe got through a week and a half before ARR got the sniffles.
So he was back on distance learning last week. We couldn't send him back to school until he'd cleared a COVID test, but his pediatrician didn't have them, and the only places with a rapid test "near" us are a 20 minute drive away, which would require a car service. Many of the closer ones won't take children. Finally managed to get him a test at the urgent care.
Having had a week of school actually at school made the learning from home thing so much worse.
We've got another new round of plans for how to deal with the next round of distance learning, but we at least managed to get through this week in person. We'll see what happens next. At this point, I see pretty much every day--every hour--where he's physically in school as a gift.
