Like watching a pile of money burn
Mar. 28th, 2019 02:16 amToday's guest speakers included Reese Witherspoon, Drew Brees (some football guy?), Pam Oliver (sports announcer?), the CEO of Microsoft, and Mindy Kaling.
I didn't look carefully at the evening event, just got in the bus. They rented out the entire basketball stadium. We had hot dogs and beer shoved in our hands when we came in, and were mildly disappointed, and then discovered that literally all the food vendors in the entire place were giving us all the food for free. I think I might have eaten three bites each of probably $80 worth of stadium food. (Unfortunately, none of it was particularly good. So we kept trying...) And then we had a stadium rock concert by The Killers that I didn't know I wanted.
I can't decide if I want to know how much money they spent on just the evening event along out of curiosity, or I don't want to know because I might faint.
