So I'm a parent rep for ARR's preschool classroom. I just had to send out the following email to the parents. Useful note: ARR's teacher Ms. M has a garden on the school roof, including worm farms and beehives, that the kids help maintain. (Yes, we have picture of ARR wearing a tiny beekeeper suit.)

"Second topic - you may have noticed that the entire corner is roped off. I got an incoherent story from ARR about bees. Here's what actually happened. A wild bee swarm, led by a wild queen, decided that that tree looked like an awesome new home. (Apparently there's police dash cam footage of the swarm flying through the park that's amazing.) The entire tree ended up covered in bees - we're talking hundreds and hundreds of bees here. The police were trying to figure out what to do when Ms. M popped her head out and said something to the effect of "Oh my goodness, that's like $100 worth of bees! Let me get my suit!". Long story short, that's how we just acquired a brand new beehive for free. Unfortunately, not quite all the bees have managed to figure out where their queen went. So that bag next to the tree actually contains a bee trap. At the end of the day, M is going to break out the bee suit again and reunite everybody with their queen. Happy ending, just involves us all avoiding the corner for the rest of the day so none of the confused stragglers stings anyone by accident. It's kind of amazing, really - we're probably one of the few blocks in Jersey City actually equipped to handle this particular emergency. I don't know what the police would have done if M wasn't there - gotten stung a lot and then called an exterminator, I guess. But hey, free bees!"
