Pin cushion

I pruned the rosebush yesterday (if you're going to do a lot of pruning, it needs to be done in deep winter). I wore gloves, I swear. My hands are covered in tiny puncture wounds anyway. I found another splinter in my index finger this morning, even. My mother, the landscape designer, points out that this is pretty much her default state of being.
