Sep. 14th, 2015 08:58 pm- ARR continues to fight sleep. Yesterday, his grandparents stopped by for lunch. Papa tried to get him down. 45 minutes later, he came down, saying ARR was finally taking his nap. They left. Not two minutes later, ARR came skidding around the corner upstairs, wearing mittens and a tie he'd liberated from his accessories box. So not only had he not actually gone to sleep, he must have popped up as soon as the door closed to be able to make himself fancy in the time between them leaving and him escaping.
- We tried to get him to fall asleep in the stroller. That didn't happen. Instead, we ended up at the cemetery petting goats.
- He's also learning. Now, he's figured out that he needs to wait quietly for awhile and then stealthily open the door. Of course, the giggles from when he dashes down the hall and scrambles onto our bed give him away. But it means that now we have to sit outside his door for the better part of an hour each night.
- Unrelated to ARR, I watched the Keira Knightly Anna Karenina last night. I adored it. Although I can't believe that anyone who hadn't read the books would have been able to follow it at all. It's so very arch and meta.
