Well, in that case
Jul. 31st, 2015 01:37 pmWe're having some issues with our little early riser. ARR toddled into our bedroom around 5:30 this morning. He wanted to sleep with us. Oh, but to sleep, naturally we needed all his things. We needed two stuffed monkeys. He went back and retrieved them. We needed the light up penguin. He went back and retrieved them. Oh, we needed the stuff dog. And we needed his quilt. We told him he could use our sheet. So then he tried to wrestle our quilt up onto the bed. (When combined with the throw pillows wrapped up in it, it probably weighs a sizeable fraction of what he does.) We sleepily tried to assure him that no, it's summer, we don't need the quilt to sleep.
"But it has shapes!" he exclaimed. "You like shapes. Shapes on your bed!"
And then he toddled out to retrieve his baby blanket.
