A series of miscalculations
Jun. 21st, 2015 08:08 pmWe tried taking the side off ARR's crib today, converting it to a toddler bed. ARR literally chortled with glee at his own power, getting in and out of his bed over and over.
At nap time, he got in and out of his bed. Over and over. At no point did sleep occur.
We had tickets to go to ARR's first play today, a children's play aimed at the 2-6 set. After running in circles all afternoon...he fell asleep in the stroller. And slept on Daddy's shoulder in the lobby even after being taken out of the stroller. When they started, he woke up, and announced loudly "I want to leave." I convinced him to sit for a few minutes of the play. He obediently watched for about ten minutes, and then announced once more that he wanted to leave. So we did.
After ten minutes of trying to convince him to stay in his room this evening, we finally gave up and put the crib railing back on.
He's currently hysterically wailing "Mommydaddy" over and over.
Good times.
