Continuing to fail to post book reviews
Apr. 13th, 2015 10:10 pmI've got a bit of a pile up, I just can't seem to catch up on the reviews.
ARR went to my ILs for the weekend. We...slept. Really, that's a lot of what we did. And ate things he can't. The nearest ice cream place (of the half dozen within walking distance) has a partnership with local restaurants to have special sundaes all spring and summer. The first one is a brunch place: French Toast ice cream, raspberry syrup, whipped cream, candied bacon. Glorious.
I'm getting caught up on the house stuff I meant to do last year and ran out of energy. The horrible pink/yellow combination that was the backdoor is now the same dark blue/light green as the basement. (Also, apparently the previous owners ignored the backyard for so long that ivy sealed the door shut. I'm still prying off the little stickers.)
In other news, when ARR helped me plant bulbs last fall, we accidentally swapped the mini and full sized iris. So the mini iris are buried in the back of the garden and the full sized ones are right in front blocking everything. Oops. I'll swap them, but I can't do it until everything stops flowering. D'oh.
