No, Mama, not sleeeeeeeeep
Mar. 8th, 2014 01:18 pmBeen a rough couple days. ARR spiked a fever on Wednesday that just got worse and worse, topping out at 103.9 Thursday night. Multiple pediatrician visits, seriously were prepared for an ER visit but managed to escape. (104 was the magic drop-everything number the pediatrician gave us.) Horrid couple days. ARR was listless and desperate not to be put down. Didn't want to play, just wanted to doze in someone's arms. Which is so unlike him it was scary.
It finally broke early Friday morning, and his temp's back down to normal. He's alert and mostly happy (a little touchy) and wants to roam and play with things again, but he's fighting sleep so hard. My theory was that he was so miserable over the last couple days that he's scared to sleep; Chuckro thinks he's so relieved to be well enough to play that he's angry at any attempts to make him stop playing. He utterly refused to nap yesterday from about 10am on. And god, bedtime was such a nightmare--an hour and a half of frantic hysterical screaming. Followed by another hour of hysterical fighting of sleep at midnight. And another hour and a half at 5am.
And I'm fighting off the same sore throat.
So tired.
