Sleep, glorious sleep

ARR visited his grandparents for a grand overnight adventure this weekend. Mommy and Daddy went nectarine picking and to a vodka distillery and had a nice dinner out and...

...none of that matters. We went to a hotel. A hotel in which no one screams at you in the middle of the night. A hotel in which I was allowed to sleep until 9 in the morning. It was glorious. I had three (three!) consecutive meals that I could eat at a normal, measured pace. I took three (three!) screamless showers. (I was sweaty before dinner, I showered before breakfast, and then decided to go swimming and so had to wash the chlorine out of my hair. At no point did anyone start whining to be picked up.)

Do you sometimes think you don't appreciate the little things in life? Have a baby.

You want the tooth? You can't handle the tooth.

Also, ARR is a little too happy about his half-a-tooth. (It's still not all the way in, and number two is only just peeking out of his gum.) He can slowly and painstakingly scrape off tiny bits of mush from Mommy's apple, which is very exciting. Even more exciting is the fun yelping sound Mommy makes when you bite her foot!

I'm not so happy about the half-a-tooth.
