Guacamole!

Over the weekend, ARR got a little bit of his first solid food. We'd been talking about possibly starting with avocado, we were eating avocado, he's old enough, so we offered him a little bit on a finger. He was...confused. We tried again the next day, mashed with breast milk, on a spoon in a high chair and everything. He seemed to enjoy the experience, but I don't think he actually realizes yet that avocado is like milk, where you swallow it to stop being hungry. Instead, it's a delightful new texture to poke at with your tongue and then stop paying attention to, so it dribbles down wherever it may. The spoon was equally exciting.

So we'll be trying again soon. Eventually some of it may actually make it to his stomach. But he had a lovely time!
