Little trooper
Jun. 19th, 2013 04:18 pmSo ARR has a nasty head cold. I know it's nasty because he gave it to me and I feel like death warmed over. On top of that, the poor kid has been home for the last two days with pink eye. After 24 hours of antibiotic drops, he's starting to look better. Yesterday, he looked like someone had punched him repeatedly in the face, and then slathered some vanilla pudding on his eyelashes.
And despite this, he's been relatively good natured. A little crabbier, a little more tired, a little more easily upset. But not the nonstop screaming I would have expected. Kid's clearly miserable, but he still has smiles for his mommy, he still wants to play standy-man, he's still excited about lunch, he's still determined to work on this crawling thing. He's coughing and sniffling and covered in goo, and he's just trooping along and still so pleased when you smile at him. Where did you get this positive attitude from, kid? It's not us--we would be whining. You're just sunny.
