So I ordered a custom item from Zazzle on December 1. It was supposed to arrive December 8. By December 12, the shipping tracker from UPS noted that it had been shipped to NJ and handed over to the local USPS for delivery...who inexplicably sent it to Maryland. Where it sat. By December 17, I went on the warpath, calling UPS and the USPS, both who said that there was nothing they could do, they had no way of contacting the USPS depot in Maryland, and I'd just have to wait for it to emerge. Despite the fact it had been there for over a week. I pretty much gave up on getting this thing in time for Christmas, but I contacted Zazzle in case they had any leverage, since they at least do a lot of shipping. It was after their deadline for things arriving for Christmas, but I at least wanted to get the item I'd paid for someday, even if late.
They made me a new one for free, sent it by express courier, and it arrived today.
So should you need custom t-shirts or mugs or what have you, I would totally recommend Zazzle. Their website's easy to use, their items are nice, but they also get serious credit for trying to make sure their customers are happy and get what they paid for by the time they need it. Even when the mix ups are completely not their fault.
