Given that we were dropping lines like crazy in the runthrough twenty minutes before the show, that was one murder mystery play that went surprisingly smoothly. We pretty much nailed it, the audience laughed at the right times, there was a wide split between who they thought did it but the slight majority guessed the right person (which, I think, is the optimal split). There were no prop failures, wardrobe mishaps, or entire pages of dialogue skipped, as there have been in previous years. (This show got a total of six rehearsals, one of which two of the actors weren't able to attend. That's...not a lot.) The food was even good. Oh, and they didn't drop Puel's body when they carted her out, nor did anyone throw out their back while carting. Good show!
