Everything smells like vanilla

Putting away the Raisin Bran this morning, I managed to knock the bottle of vanilla off the shelf. There was some comically ineffective bumbling trying to catch it, and then it smashed on the floor. I think I got all the glass up, but the kitchen smells rather strongly of vanilla at the moment. Fortunately, the bottle was nearly empty--I tend to buy very large bottles of very expensive vanilla. So it was only the last couple tablespoons and a vanilla bean of a $40 bottle of vanilla that got destroyed.

Also, now my slippers smell like vanilla.
