So I've been doing research on planetarium shows. And I'm incredibly amused by the narrators of the shows that are currently out there. Basically, everyone from Star Trek ever, plus most other actors.
Some folks:
From Star Trek: Patrick Stewart (at least 4 different shows), Roxann Dawon, Avery Brooks, Michael Dorn, Rene Auberjonois, Whoopi Goldberg, John Billingsley, and John de Lancie.
From Star Wars: Mark Hamill (at least twice), Harrison Ford, Liam Neeson, Jack Thompson, Ewan McGregor, Christopher Lee, and James Earl Jones.
From Dr. Who: Tom Baker and David Tennant.
From other geeky media: Hugh Laurie, Terry O'Quinn, Laurence Fishburne, Sigourney Weaver, and Jodie Foster.
Just plain famous: Kevin Bacon, Robert Redford, Judi Dench, Tom Hanks, Michael Douglas, Sean Bean, Walter Cronkite, Geoffrey Rush, Liev Schreiber, Richard Attenborough, Emily Watson, and Fred Rogers.
You just aren't somebody until your voice is carried portentiously over the images of exploding galaxies.
