Holy mackerel, we're up to date on something

Last night we caught up to the current episode of Glee. I don't think I've actually been up to date on a TV series since...umm...high school. Yep, high school. Weird.

Of course, it won't last. Chuckro's not home on Tuesday because of class, and he'll be sad if I watch it without him. Knowing us, we're likely to stockpile and then watch two or three episodes in a row. But for a brief, shining moment, we're actually current on something pop-culture.

Thoughts on recent episodes )

Edited:I apparently can't spell fish names.

It's never a good thing when things are in a different state than they're supposed to be

Matter states, not geographic.

My spaghetti squash looked fine, but when I cut it open, it was liquid inside. All the squash sloshed out.

Eeewwwwww.

Guess we're having the broccoli for dinner after all.

I can make deliciousness

Well, the squash was obviously a no-go. I was kind of proud of the fish, despite the fact I wasn't super enthusiastic about it. I've been trying to teach myself to like fish, and bought some frozen whiting that turned out to be a lot fishier than I'm willing to tolerate at this point. I managed to finish off the last in a vaguely tolerable fashion by lemon-bombing it--there was the overkill combination of lemon butter, lemon pepper, and slices of lemon. After soaking the filets in milk for twenty minutes. Still nowhere near as good as, say, tuna or bass, but significantly less fishy.

But the triumph was my lemon-rosemary bread with chestnuts and raisins. Even before I started the fish, the entire house smelled of lemon zest. Oh, this bread is so good. I love homemade bread.
