Thanks, PATH
Mar. 8th, 2008 11:03 pmYou know what's awesome? When the PATH stops running at 9 on a Saturday night.
After examining numerous other plans (ferries? Not running. Buses? Can't find a reliable schedule. NJ Transit? Goes to Newark, or possibly Hoboken through multiple connections for which you can't get schedules in Penn. Also, leaves the problem of being stuck in Newark or Hoboken. Begging for crash space at trinityvixen and feiran's? Cats, and also not quite that desperate yet.), we finally ended up paying $60 for a cab to take us across the damn river. And felt grateful that we had the money to do so - I suspect there are a lot of people who were on that PATH train who don't have that option.
Bleh. Oh well. I'm terribly grateful that we didn't take NJ Transit to Secaucus and find out that there was no way to get to Hoboken from there after all (which was considered). I'm home, it's warm, I'm grateful.
Still kind of pissed, though.
