Wine tasting
Sep. 23rd, 2007 01:12 pmWe had a lovely wine tasting party last night. Got six different wines - Riesling, Suavignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Shiraz (all from California, except the Shiraz - couldn't find a California Shiraz in the right price bracket, and ended up with one from Washington instead). It was pretty cool actually trying them side by side and noticing the differences. I was amused that we seem to have reconfirmed that most of our friends don't care all that much for Chardonnay, and really, really like Riesling.
Later, things turned into a tipsy game of Mafia, in which the Mafia won every single round. As Emily put it, I think our friends trust each other too much, even when they shouldn't. Somehow, the Mafia always managed to convince everyone they were innocent, and we kept knocking off random innocent townspeople by accident.
