It's time for Jethrien's wacky wedding dreams again!

This time I was at someone else's wedding. Theirs was two or three days before mine. It was in my old parish church. They'd gotten their own singer, but the usual cantor was still there. The two of them were trying to sing the responsorial psalm at the same time, but had very different styles and it sounded really awful. The mothers of the bride and groom were making this huge fuss over the readings - the parents didn't like each other, and were trying rather hard to be offended. The poor bride and groom were sitting there, miserable. I then realized that the groom had been in madrigals with me in high school, and the bride was the younger sister of another guy in madrigals. After the service, I wandered over and asked them if that's how they met. They looked pretty miserable, with their parents feuding. The priest announced that I was also getting married in a few days. People came over and started giving cards and checks to the couple, and some of them gave some to me, too. I opened one up - it was from a guy I could barely remember from high school. I saw that he'd given me $206, which I thought was incredibly generous. Then I looked at the note - it said that he just wanted me to know that he'd done really well and he was ok. He was a rock star now. And I looked back at the amount and realized that I'd only looked at the last three digits. He'd given me $1,400,206.
