Serenity meets Star Wars
Oct. 6th, 2005 12:20 pmLast night, we all learned a very special lesson.
You should not try to create characters for a Star Wars roleplaying game with a bunch of sci fi nuts who just saw Serenity.
We seem to have ended up with a force-wielding smuggler chief. Who's a cross between Mal and River in disguise. And a teenage mechanic. Who's a cross between Kaylee and Wash in disguise. And an androgynous merc. Who's Jayne in disguise.
No matter how we tried to get away from it, somehow, we'd end up back on Serenity. Backstories? Sound like Firefly. We're supposed to come up with quotes that are indicative of the character. "Oh god, oh god, we're all going to die"? "Vera is my very most favorite gun"? "Do you want to run this ship?" "Yes." "Well...you can't"?
Sigh.
We have two players left who haven't created characters. They're both male. They have Simon, Book, and Inarra left to choose from.
