This Europe trip is becoming more and more of a pain in the butt to get set up. I tried to get tickets to a production of The Winter's Tale in the Globe theater. According to the FAQs of both the theater and the ticketing service, they'd hold onto the tickets at the box office for me. And yet the confirmation email blissfully tells me they're mailing them and I'll get them in a week. Great. The problem is, I leave tomorrow morning. I call the people in England. They say they can't do anything, and I need to call the Sunday before the show to try to arrange new tickets being printed and held. So this means I have to call England from the hotel room in France. Grr.

We'd planned to take the train from Paris to London and back. Unfortunately, I noticed today the teeny-tiny little asterisk on the train we needed to take from London to get back in time to make our flight. That train doesn't run on Saturday. Guess which day we're leaving. The next train doesn't get in soon enough for us to clear security. Fabulous. So I frantically start looking up tickets on Expedia.com. I found some that weren't too bad - more money and more wasted time than we'd anticipated, but not that bad. Get all the way through making the reservations - and this airline doesn't issue E-tickets for this flight. Shit. Fortunately, [livejournal.com profile] chuckro isn't joining me until next week. I just arranged to have the tickets sent to his house, and he can bring them with him. But if something goes wrong, I'm not sure what I'll do. Grrrrrrrrr.
