Philadelphia

chantal1382 went on part 2 of the "Explore the East Coast before Chantal moves to Texas" adventure yesterday - Philadelphia (having done New York last week).

Spent a lovely day exploring random parts of America's history - saw the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, went to the still-fairly-new Constitution Center, which is pretty cool and thoroughly well done. I pulled her inside the Curtis Institute to see "Dream Garden" - it's this amazing Tiffany mural that was done from a Parrish painting that nobody seems to know about. Absolutely gorgeous. We wandered the waterfront and went shopping on South Street. It was a nice, nifty day.

And I saw Star Wars with the band at midnight. I won't say much, because I don't want to spoil it for anyone. There's about 20 minutes worth of dialogue that, if I watch this on video, I will probably fast forward through. Wincingly bad. But then the action picks up and the fan service begins, and all is right with the Force.
