I can haz novel!

It is a slightly banged up, not totally functional, prototype novel, but a novel nonetheless. Now I shall set it aside and go play video games with my husband, and do Christmas-y social-y things for the next month. In January I'll take another look at this guy, and see what I can actually fix.

Novel!

No, and won't be. If this cleans up nicely, then I'll actually consider trying to get it published, in which case it can't be posted somewhere publically. If it doesn't - well, then I'm certainly not posting it!

If it does end up in reasonable shape some day, I'll need beta readers, though...

Congrats! Considering the discipline and dedication it takes to write a novel, I say that's a major accomplishment. :)

You have the best avatar for these kinds of things.

If that's the case, let me know and I'll be happy to give you feedback if you want. I really enjoyed that short story you wrote a while back about the psychic gift hotline.

I swear, if left to my own devices, I'd turn into Edna. She's, like, my role model.

Way to go! That's a lot of words.

And somehow, not enough. Part of the great revision process will involve adding three or four chapters from another character's viewpoint and at least another three or four scenes that are necessary for character development but I skipped to keep moving with the plot.
